Wendy Kendrick created a quilted piece to commemorate the thirty-eight African American women who were part of the first co-ed class at Dartmouth. She was commissioned by BADA (the Black Alumni of Dartmouth Association) to create this piece to honor the women. She titled the piece "38 Strong!"
