James Hutchinson & the Need for Change (Ariana Ramsey '22, Fall '22)
James Hutchinson and his twin sister were born in Morgan Park in Chicago and raised by his parents, James Hutchinson, Sr and Dorothy Hutchinson. James was in the class of 1969 at Dartmouth. He found himself being a part of the change that the Black community at Dartmouth needed in order to grow and progress for their time as well as for future generations. After graduating, James went on to make an impact in the Black broadcasting business where he was the chairman of the National Association of Black-owned Broadcasting. James understands the power of balance in life and now spends his time with his grandkids and their endeavors.
